Horseback Riding – SIRE
In a place where rodeo season serves as our own personal mardi gras, and trail riders traverse our highway system once a year, it's easy to believe that horses are a still a mode of transportation in the Lone Star state. Amputees on Ice
Action on the Ice is something that we don’t see very often in Houston, our warm weather home often precludes us from the adventure of winter sports, but that was not so for amputees, friends and staff form the Amputee & Prosthetic Center. On a hot day in August our Amputees in Action hit the ice in the Willowbrook Aerodome for an Aeros slap shot game, sled hockey, HITS (hockey in the streets) and free ice skating lessons. Read more..
Airborne Amputees
The thought of jumping out of a plane 14,000 feet in the air and plummeting to the earth at 120 mph didn’t intimidate the over 150 amputees and 17 Wounded Warriors who signed up to jump for Limbs of Love at the Airborne Amputee skydive event on Saturday, May 1st at Skydive Spaceland just South of Houston.
