BUSINESS / Pearland's Sansone recognized

Joe Sansone of Pearland was named the 2008 Professional of the Year by the Amputee Coalition of America.

The founder and CEO of the Amputee and Prosthetic Center and TMC Orthopedic, Sansone is also the founder of Limbs of Love, a charity that has donated more than $250,000 towards providing artificial limbs to amputees who could not afford them since it was founded last year.

The Amputee and Prosthetic Center was named the Best Place to Work in Houston in 2008 by the Houston Business Journal.

Sansone is a three-time finalist for the Ernest and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and was named the U.S. Small Business Person of the Year.
