Patient Support
An important component of amputee patient care is the Prosthetic Coordinator.

An overwhelming majority of amputee patients have voiced that the most pressing need is not to be fitted with a prosthetic leg or prosthetic arm but to be heard by all health care providers, whether it's their physician, nurse or prosthetist. A Prosthetic Coordinator has been trained to assist amputees throughout all phases of their care.
From offering pre-operative consultations, assisting with obtaining wheelchair ramps, to obtaining referrals to specialists, the Prosthetic Coordinator's role is to offer support and assistance to the amputee for their prosthetic needs.
