Patient Advocates

From the moment an amputee patient is contacted by the Amputee and Prosthetic Center he or she is assigned their own Patient Advocate who will assist with whatever the amputee patient's needs may be for a prosthetic device or help with other amputee services. When we asked amputees what they were lacking in previous prosthetic care, we heard the same answer over and over again: the need to be heard. Patient Advocates have been trained to assist amputees throughout all phases of care and use of a prosthetic device.  We are here for you.  If an amputee patient needs help with assisted living devices, wound care or if the amputee patient would just like to meet with a fellow amputee to learn first-hand about what it’s like to be an amputee, we are here to help.
